Workshop: take a few hours to try to sculpt or decorate pottery with us!

Arco Arte also organizes short workshops . A few hours of training during which a visitor can try to sculpt a small piece of marble or decorate an object in terracotta . A workshop at Arco Arte can become a fun alternative day for a family or a group of friends, or an activity to be included in a travel program for a group of tourists visiting Carrara.

MARBLE:

During a workshop dedicated to MARBLE , guests are introduced to sculpture. After a visit to the exhibition hall , a lesson is held in the work area during which the basic techniques and tools used in sculpting are demonstrated and the possibility of sculpting a splinter or a tile of Carrara marble (which will remain as a souvenir) is offered. At the end of the workshop, information material and a beautiful souvenir card will be available.

Duration of the workshop: 30 minutes for the visit + 2 hours (up to 6, if desired).

The workshop includes: presence of a professional sculptor, explanations, use of goggles and gloves, appropriate piece of marble, and use of hand tools. Bathrooms available on the premises .

Period: from mid-April to mid-October, Monday to Friday, ON BOOKING .

Price for 2 hours workshop: 1 person: € 80,00; € 60,00 each person for groups from 4 to 8 peoples. Groups over 8 ask for availability and quote.

POTTERY:

BOOK OR ASK FOR INFORMATION

The workshop dedicated to POTTERY takes place at the Atelier La Goccia (adjacent to the work areas of Arco Arte). Participants will learn the basic techniques of decoration - Majolica, Sottocristallina or Engobbio - after which, depending on the time available, participants can paint text or a small decoration on an appropriate terracotta object , such as a tile or a plate. The object with the final decoration, requiring a baking of several hours, cannot be delivered at the end of the workshop. However, participants may request that it is shipped and the cost will be calculated separately. At the end of the workshop, information material and a beautiful souvenir card will be available.

Duration of the workshop: 2 hours (up to 6).

The workshop includes: presence of a teacher, explanation, adequate small terracotta, use of brushes, colors or other materials necessary according to the request. Bathrooms available on the premises.

Period: all year round, Monday to Friday, morning, afternoon or even evening, ON BOOKING

2-hour workshop cost: € 20,00 per person.

6-hour workshop cost: € 90,00 per person.
